Founded in 1991, we moved to Nanaimo from the Lower Mainland and opened our first store, Simply Oak, and have never looked back. Our name then developed into Simply Oak and Pine and we have now added a new name to reflect all the other wood choices and our permanent dedication to our business – Westcoast Solid Wood Furnishings. We are family-run, allowing us to serve our customers with no-pressure, non-commission customer service. We personally pick up your made-to-order furnishings from the Lower Mainland and ensure they are delivered to your home in sound condition.
Our ability to customize our products has allowed us to become the leading supplier of solid wood furniture in the mid-Island. We only work with the foremost top-notch custom furniture builders in B.C. Our long relationships with them allows us to provide the best there is in solid wood furniture. Built to last a lifetime – or should we say lifetimes - your furnishings can be handed down from generation to generation.
Our customers range from Alberta to Victoria to Port Hardy to Tofino. While you can purchase that special piece or suite right off the showroom floor, about eighty percent of our customers order their furnishings to suit their decor and personal needs.
